Dr Helen Peric understands that seeking fertility treatment can be an emotional and stressful time of life and believes her role is to guide her patients through this process as smoothly as possible. From the very first consultation, Dr Peric takes the time to get to know her patients and their unique situation.
Dr Peric achieved a first-class honours degree in Science at The University of Melbourne, which led to her working in the field of medical research. Her desire to have greater clinical involvement further motivated her to study medicine at The University of Sydney. After completing her medical degree, Dr Peric undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Westmead Hospital and later at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.
During her time training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Dr Peric developed a keen interest in infertility and reproductive medicine, going on to complete sub-speciality training in these areas at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Genea Fertility Australia.
Dr Peric has achieved a Master of Human Reproduction and Human Genetics, completing a research project as part of those studies which investigated the role of MTHFR polymorphism, a gene mutation, on recurrent miscarriage.
Dr Peric focuses on egg freezing, ovulation induction and donor conception, female and male infertility, IVF, patients requiring Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), recurrent miscarriage and gynaecology, with a special interest in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and menopause.
