Dr Donna Griffiths is a Clinical Psychologist providing quality psychological and counselling services. She is a caring and compassionate psychologist who works collaboratively with clients to optimise the benefits of psychological services to support medical treatments, health, and wellbeing. She works with an ethnically diverse clientèle and LGBTQ+ communities. Her private practice is located on the Gold Coast, she offers face-to-face and Zoom appointments.
Donna has a strong focus on a biopsychosocial model of health care and appreciates that one’s psychological health is an important component of an individual’s overall health and sense of well-being.
She studied for a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at James Cook University, Townsville, and completed a postgraduate degree in Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) at Griffith University, Gold Coast. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, AHPRA and is a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists. She holds memberships with the Australia Psychological Society, the Fertility Society of Australia, and the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association.
Donna draws from therapeutic evidenced-based frameworks – predominantly: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP; attachment-based framework).
