Dr Anne Poliness is deeply committed to offering personalised, compassionate care, embracing the uniqueness of every patient. She believes in creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone, including individuals and couples from the LGBTQ+ community, feels supported throughout their fertility journey.
Dr Poliness began her medical career in 1993 and qualified as a gynaecologist in 2002 after working for a year in Winchester (UK) alongside a leading gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgery specialist.
Following a 12 month fellowship in laparoscopic surgery in the endometriosis unit of Melbourne’s Royal Women’s Hospital, she joined the team as a gynaecologist. It’s a role she continued while studying for her Doctor of Medicine degree through The University of Melbourne, while also taking up a role at Mercy Hospital for Women. Dr Poliness has also completed a Doctorate in Endometriosis and a Masters in Reproductive Medicine (Fertility).
She offers IVF and fertility care across the full fertility spectrum, with particular interests in endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), surrogacy, and sperm and egg donor treatments.
For the convenience of her patients, Dr Poliness offers telehealth consultations to ensure accessible and flexible care for all her patients.
