Dr Mariam Chaalan is a caring and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) with specialised expertise in sexual and reproductive health. Passionate about evidence-based, preventative care, Dr Chaalan takes a holistic, personalised approach to support the diverse needs of every individual, couple, and family she works with — ensuring care is tailored to each person’s unique journey.
Dr Chaalan is particularly dedicated to supporting individuals and couples from all walks of life on their path to parenthood — from preconception care right through to pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. Having personally experienced infertility and pregnancy loss, she brings deep empathy and understanding to those navigating the complexities of fertility treatment. She is deeply committed to providing a safe, supportive, and affirming space for individuals and couples, including those within the LGBTI community, as they navigate their fertility and reproductive health options.
Now a proud mum to twin toddler boys, Dr Chaalan is committed to fostering an open, supportive space where patients feel heard, understood and empowered. She is also a passionate advocate for health literacy, sharing evidence-based information and practical advice through her popular Instagram and TikTok channels (@ask.the.dr), helping to educate and empower her online community.
